United States Teens Employment
Almost everyone who works in AMC Theatres is in high school, probably 90% of the staff is under 18. Most of the staff are 16 year old, even though AMC Theatres are technically allowed to hire at 15, but they have to do a whole bunch of extra paper work for it so usually they try to avoid hire 15-year-old whenever possible.
Here is a preview of some of the AMC Crew jobs:
- Bartender—ensure consistent drink quality by providing superior guest service, preparing orders in a short period of time and in accordance with recipes and guidelines (you must be 21 year old or older)
- Booth Crew Member—operate film projectors, sound equipment and related equipment in the theatre
- Busser—clear, clean, reset tables and assist wait staff while maintaining a clean and safe environment in the auditoriums, lounge and bar
- Cashier—sell movie tickets and AMC Gift Cards and inform guests about currently featured films, policies, programs and more
- Concessionist—prepare and serve concession items to guests, clean the concession area and assist with other theatre functions
- Cook—ensure consistent food quality, and prepare menu items in a short period of time in accordance with established recipes and guidelines (requires to complete food handling training and obtain any local or state mandated certification)
- Dishwasher—maintain clean and sanitary conditions of all cooking utensils, flatware, china and stemware while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Server—accurately relay food and beverage orders between guests and kitchen while providing superior guest service (requires you to be 18 and in some states 21 for serving, pouring, or mixing alcoholic beverage)
- Supervisor—help the management team ensure theatre functions run smoothly and efficiently (requires proven supervisory experience with effective managerial and training skills)
- Usher—clean and maintain the auditoriums, restrooms and lobbies while controlling access to the theatre and the auditoriums
