Minimum age of employment at Publix is 14 year old. Founded in 1930, Publix Super Markets is the largest and fastest-growing employee-owned supermarket chain in the United States.
Federal and state laws regulate the employment of minors. These laws specifically regulate the hours that individuals under the age of 18 may work, the occupations in which they may be employed and the hazardous equipment and/or materials from which they are restricted. Publix only accepts applications from job seekers who are at least 14 years old. However, not all of their stores hire minors due to the positions and shifts available at each location.
f you are 14 or 15, you could be considered for Front Service Clerk (“bagger”), Cashier or Floral Clerk. If you are 16 or 17, you could be considered for those positions, as well as for eight others: Bakery Clerk, Demonstrator, Dairy Clerk, Frozen Food Clerk, Housewares Clerk, Grocery Clerk, Produce Clerk or Health & Beauty Care Clerk. See their Job Description Chart for more details.
