Hometown Buffet, the casual dining restaurant also known as “Old Country Buffet” and “Country Buffet”. Long known for good food at reasonable prices, Hometown Buffet is a well respected restaurant in many cities.
Cashier
The Cashier/Sales Associate position is the first person guests will see. Guests need to be greeted enthusiastically and in a friendly manner in keeping with the “down home” feel of the restaurant. The Sales Associate should determine the guests’ needs in a friendly and direct way while offering them beverages and promotional items from the scripted and proven sales techniques provided to them.
A Cashier/Sales Associate is responsible for accurately entering all items purchased by guests, receiving payment, and processing credit card transactions or making the correct change for guests’ orders. This position assists with orders “to go” as well as answering telephones in a prompt and professional manner with the use of scripted dialogue.
Lastly, the Cashier/Sales Associate will be responsible for the cleanliness of the sales counter and surrounding areas.
Cook /Baker
The Cook/Baker will prepare and cook hot foods and bakery items using prescribed recipes. The Cook/Baker must make sure that proper safety and sanitation procedures are followed at all times.
Dishwasher / Utility
A Dishwasher/Utility position ensures that each guest will have spotless dinnerware, utensils, cups and other dining equipment. This position also is responsible for ensuring that guests are satisfied with the overall appearance of the restaurant.
Food Bar Attendant
The Food Bar Attendant must keep the buffet islands stocked, replenishing them as needed. This position is responsible for keeping the buffet area neat and clean as well as ensuring guest satisfaction by answering any of their questions or concerns.
Food Preparation
A Food Preparation position is responsible for preparing salads and condiments using prescribed recipes. They must follow all sanitation and safety procedures at all times.
Server / Service Assistant
The Server/Assistant position will greet and welcome guests as well as thank them in a friendly manner. This position will clear all used utensils and silverware from tables and booths and ensure that the dining room is neat and clean at all times.
The position will offer additional guest services such as menu recommendations and beverage refills. At all times, the Server/Assistant will provide the highest quality hospitality and service in a friendly way to produce 100% overall guest satisfaction with their experience at the restaurant.
