Barnes & Noble is a company driven by the principle that bookselling is important work. You must be at least 16 years old to work at Barnes & Noble.  If you are 16 or 17 years old, you may also need working papers.  Please check with your state department of labor for details about the minimum age requirement to obtain working papers.

For your convenience, they have made available a Barnes & Noble job application.  Simply download, print, and complete the application, then take it to the store where you want to work. Any of their booksellers can direct you to the appropriate person who will receive, review and process your application.

Barnes & Noble has more than 750 stores across the country. And they’re adding more all the time. Every new store brings a special experience to a new group of customers and their community. It also creates great opportunities for qualified people like you, who want to help these new customers get the most from Barnes & Noble.
