Minimum age of employment at Tim Horton is generally 15 or 16 year old. The Tim Hortons chain was founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario. The chain’s focus on top quality, always fresh product, value, great service and community leadership has allowed it to grow into the largest quick service restaurant chain in Canada specializing in always fresh coffee, baked goods and homestyle lunches.
Tim Hortons locations can also be found in shopping malls, highway outlets, universities and hospitals. Most standard Tim Hortons locations offer 24-hour drive-thru service, catering to consumers on the go. Combo unit locations, which house both a Tim Hortons and Wendy’s, offer customers the convenience of both restaurants under one roof.

Depending on your area, the minimum age to work at Tim Hortons is usually 15 or 16 years old. The ultimate decision is at the decision of the store manager. The fact that this isn’t a corporate restriction some employers hire as young as 13 but it’s very rare and the individual would have to show extreme maturity and might have to have a specific need for a job. 14 year old teenagers cannot work the storefront, and anyone younger than 16, expect to do dishes.

As a member of their storefront team you are the very first contact with their customers. 19 year old teenagers can also apply in Youth Leadership Program as seasonal positions for June, July and August in Tim Hortons Foundation camps in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
