Fashion Sales Consultant
Fashion sales and cosmetics consultants are responsible for learning about the company’s culture and variety of store positions by spending small amounts of time in various departments during your first month on the job. During month two associates will be introduced to Selling programs to help learn how to build lasting relationships with clients. These associates are expected to welcome and greet all customers, discover customer needs and sell the appropriate merchandise, suggest additional items to complete an outfit, and build relationships. In addition, it is essential to passionately meet and exceed customer expectations, while executing changes in prices, ring sales, and even inventory control. Finally, all associates hired for this position must assist in visual placement of merchandise, keep up with changing trends, and most importantly reflect the fashion from Dillard’s into your presentation and overall look.
Clearance Center Associate
Clearance center associates must possess good basic computer skills. These skills will include, but not be limited to, inventory control equipment and the cash register. In addition, these specific store associates must be capable of communicating effectively while being able to work in a team environment and independently. In addition, you must be able to unload, prepare, and relocate merchandise to the sales floor in addition to maintaining the quality standards of Dillard’s presentation to ease the shopping experience of the customer.
Dock associates will assist in moving merchandise to the sales floor, helping to maintain the overall cleanliness of both selling and support areas, processing all receipts in a timely manner, and helping sort and prepare all merchandise to be distributed to selling areas. This position also requires both enthusiasm and energy in terms of processing merchandise and lifting merchandise which on the average weighs between 25 and 35 pounds; however, can weigh more. Furthermore, you will be expected to maintain good attendance, exemplify the willingness to be flexible with demands of the department, be a team player, and safely execute all job functions with no risk to co-workers or self. Finally, potential candidates should have a background in sales and be prepared for a promotion to the sales floor eventually.
